Adrian Burragubba is from the Wangan people, of Central Queensland.
He is one of Australia's most prominent cultural educators and traditional Aboriginal performers, performing publicly for many years nationally and internationally.
He has travelled to the USA, Europe and Asia for promotional events representing Aboriginal Australia.
Performances have included Traditional welcomes for international guests, overseas celebrities and dignitaries.
Over the past 20 years Adrian has performed regularly at weddings, parties or just for entertainment.
Adrian has performed at various venues for the Brisbane Lord Mayor's office, Queensland Premier's department and other government and non-government events requiring a "traditional" Aboriginal presence.
Cultural and spiritual programs have also been held at festivals and public events.
He strives daily to break down the barriers between the different cultures, and to encourage everyone, from all nationalities and cultures, to learn to respect the need for all Aboriginal people to continue to learn and practice their own culture.
It is imperative that we join together to stop the exploitation and imitation of the art, the culture and heritage of Aboriginal Australians.
Stand up against the impersonators. It is stealing! KEEP IT REAL!
Adrian pays respect to the keepers of the dreaming of the Yidaki, the Yolngu people of North-East Arnhem Land.
